A leading provider of next-generation AI business solutions in the rapidly growing Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) space, Cortical.io is looking for a Solution Engineer with experience in Machine Learning. This position is based in Vienna, Austria, however remote work can be discussed.
Cortical.io is at the forefront of applying Artificial Intelligence and Natural Language Understanding (NLU) to one of today’s biggest challenges, helping companies intelligently process documents. Our solutions accurately extract, classify, and search unstructured text in the documents and messages that are currently overwhelming enterprises. Leveraging a unique and patented approach to NLU, Cortical.io applications are in production at some of the largest enterprises in the world.
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for an experienced Solution Engineer to join our Solution Engineering Team. You will be the first technical point of contact for our customers, work to understand their business problems and participate in solution design and implementation of ML technologies. You will lead POCs with customers, analyze their data and workflows, and collaborate with various departments to facilitate the proper execution of a proposed project plan.
Basic requirements
- Professional working proficiency in written and spoken English and German
- Authorization to work in European Union
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Required
- At least 3 years of professional experience in either Solution Engineering or Software Engineering (ML)
- Experience in customer-facing positions
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong sense for teamwork and knowledge sharing
- Willingness to investigate and learn new technologies
Preferred
- Experience with Machine Learning
- Experience with Python, Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-Learn, Torch, et al.
Basic understanding of:
- Software design
- Development practices in an agile software environment (Scrum/Kanban)
Not required, but would be nice if you have:
- Experience with Java
- Application deployment practices (Docker, k8s, helm)
- Experience with cloud-based environments like AWS or Azure
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience
