About the role:

As Vision Engineer, you are part of our Process Engineering Team and work on the expansion and optimization in the Visual inspection and Packaging area. They support the strategic realignment of an automated future to prepare us for the increasing volume development.

The ideal candidate should have a thorough understanding of traditional machine vision technologies in conjunction with mechanical engineering and automation in the pharmaceutical industry.

How you will contribute:

  • Responsible for planning and implementation of high complex automated units (AVI) for the visual inspection of lyophilized and liquid products

  • Support in the acquisition, commissioning and qualification of state-of-the-art visual inspection systems according to EHS, GMP and Best Engineering Practices requirements

  • Development, Continuous improvement and optimization of new and existing visual inspection systems to increase process reliability

  • Acting as a global Subject Matter Expert (SME) of Vision systems for fully and semi-automatic visual inspection units

  • Technical support and problem solving in day-to-day routine activities including failure investigation during the life cycle of the equipment

  • Key Contact person for internal and external stakeholders and authority audits

  • Preparation of GMP and training documents and implementation of regular trainings on the new and existing systems

What you bring to Takeda:

  • University degree in Optical, Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent years of experience

  • Proven Expertise in the development and implementation of automated visual inspection or industrial inspection systems

  • Practical experience in the application and optimization of image processing tools

  • Good understanding of vision-based robotics, computer science, artificial intelligence, and machine learning

  • Hands-on experience in software development in vision or automation systems and different types of cameras

  • Solid experience with Quality Systems and processes in a GMP regulated and FDA licensed manufacturing site

  • Business proficiency in German and English, both written and spoken
