Senior Key Account Manager Offtrade

As Senior KAM you are a key player and the spearhead of the Austrian own route to market business. With the responsibility of 80% of the markets Turnover you have the opportunity to develop strong sales and management skills in an agile and high performing Sales & Marketing team.


Role Responsibilities

1. Key Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts within the off-trade channel in Austria, ensuring customer satisfaction and driving business growth.

2. Sales Strategy: Develop and implement sales strategies, promotions, and trade marketing activities in collaboration with the Austrian team to achieve sales targets and increase market share.

3. Negotiations and Business Development: Lead negotiations with key accounts for product placements, pricing, promotional activities, and business development opportunities to optimize sales and enhance brand visibility.

4. Account Planning and Forecasting: Develop strategic account plans, set sales targets, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective execution and delivery of business objectives. Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports.

5. Market Analysis: Conduct market analysis, monitor competitor activities, identify trends, and recommend strategies to enhance sales performance and market presence.

6. Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as marketing, supply chain, and finance teams to align strategies, share insights, and ensure seamless execution.

7. Compliance and Ethics: Ensure all activities comply with legal and ethical standards, including responsible drinking guidelines and company policies.

8. Leadership: Provide guidance and support to peers and marketing professionals, fostering their development and driving high performance within the team.


Qualifications & Experience

  • 5+ years of commercial experience in the Austrian alcoholic beverage or FMCG industry, with a focus on key account management, Experience with Rewe and Spar is desireable.
  • Strong background in sales and key account management roles in Austria, preferably within the off-trade channel. Additional knowledge in marketing or trade marketing is desirable.
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining strong relationships with key accounts and delivering sales targets.
  • Experience in team management and working with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong business acumen, financial understanding, and the ability to analyze key business drivers and their impact on the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flows.
  • Excellent negotiation skills, with the ability to drive successful outcomes in complex negotiation scenarios.
  • Analytical mindset, leveraging data for decision-making and forecasting market demand.
  • Proactive and results-oriented, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic and competitive market.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Hands-on mentality
  • Fluent in German and English.
